About the Modules

The CESI team designed a flipped curriculum to sustain the program and ensure that faculty members and community partners have access to resources at their finger tips throughout the process of designing and implementing their courses. Through this series of online Modules, we aim to provide a mix of theoretical and practical content and resources in short presentations. We envision adding new Modules and presentations as new opportunities emerge.

 

Getting Started

Before you begin the Modules, we encourage you to review the Course Elements Rubric for Engaged Civic Learning which provides an excellent overview of the various elements involved in the design of engaged courses. The Modules aim to discuss all of these elements in greater depth. The Principles of Good Practice for Service-Learning Pedagogy is another widely cited resource that introduces best practices that are important considerations throughout the design and implementation process.
