The Honors Program has created a brand new course, Honors 380 The Japanese American Internment. Asian American Studies

Participating Faculty: Shirley Tang

The Department for Asian American Studies is redesigning AsAmSt 225L Southeast Asians in the US to cater to a new generation of US born students who do not know as much first-hand knowledge about Asian immigration as those did in the 1980’s when the course was implemented. The department is also creating a followup course to AsAmSt 370 Asian American Media Literacy in a more advanced and in-depth look as AsAmSt 470 Asian American Film & Digital Media and Social Documentation. Click here for the AsAmSt 225L PowerPoint. The English Department is offering EN 284 Language, Literacy and Community and EN 285 ESL Tutor Training Seminar as a part of the Community University Project for Literacy (CUPL). Anthropology

Participating Faculty: Stephen Silliman

The Anthropology Department is redesigning ANTH 485 Eastern Pequot Archaeological Field School as a summer program in the Historical Archaeology Master’s Program.
