March 2015 marked a milestone for aviation and energy. Solar Impulse-2, Andre Borschbeg piloting, flew from Abu Dhabi to Oman in 12 hours; it was the first leg of a round the world attempt. Sharing piloting with Betrand Piccard, the modern day “Wright Brothers” may prove the future of aviation is solar. The Apollo program built strength by planned achievements leading to the lunar landing. How do milestones in new technologies shape success?
