Code Review and Working Plan are in regards to the same piece of code, so I am including them both in this post.
WORKING PLAN:
For the next week, I plan to clean up this code and rewrite it a couple times until I get it the way it needs to be. Many of the edits that will be made are discussed below in the code review portion.
CODE REVIEW:
I’ve begun work on setting up the code for my HIV agents. This is purely a “rough draft” of a general idea. The computer has been running very VERY slowly, so many things need to change. The “if” command under the forever toggle is under construction. The goal here is to have the program randomly (but not often) introduce the virus to the Simulation. I want it to be random (extremely) because I want to test how well the PI can protect the host from replication and infection. Since in real life, HIV is contracted at random (people don’t usually know when they come into contact with it) and the PI is meant to be a way to prevent contraction, I am attempting to see what happens regardless of WHEN the host is introduced.
The “detection” command will be removed from the HIV agent page. I am instead going to build it (differently) on the Host Cells page. So, feel free to ignore it for now.
I am only creating 13 HIV agents, because according to the research I have done in regards to HIV shows that typically in order to contract the virus, you must have a concentration factor of 40 viral envelopes per ml. Since I am working in 0.25ml I divided the concentration by 4 and gave it a slight boost because sometimes the concentration can be higher. I may boost it higher when I do a rewrite. But this is what I have right now.

I don’t think you need to do all that fancy clock stuff
a simple random 100 = 0 or similar will do essentially the same thing
also, do you need to have frequent re-introduction?
do you model infected cells producing virus?
forward 1, left 6, right 6, GOES IN A STRAIGHT LINE!!!!
you want
forward 1
left RANDOM 6
right RANDOM 6
