Yettive Crestohl Weekly Plan/Code Review

Code Review

This piece of code tells a particular agent (heterozygous female, to be exact) what to do whenever it encounters one of my three predatory (dragon) agents. Insert dumb nerdy reference to game of thrones. One dragon is supposed to be a more efficient killer than the other two, meaning that its chance to destroy the heterozygous female at collision is one in 100 instead of one in 200. This same code is copied to all my other population agents, with the homozygous recessive organism having a higher death rate, as it is sick and easier caught by dragons. I realize I may need to tweak the frequency of death.

Weekly Plan

For next week, I want to tweak the predatory mechanism, raising or decreasing the chance for the agents to eat any given population agent until it is neither too high nor too low. I do not want them to eat so many agents that we see the Founder Effect – that might be interesting to see in another experiment, but I do not want to see a marked decrease in population, nor do I want to see an increase.

  1. ouch 🙂
you could also have the dragons have a preference for certain genotypes – maybe a counter to the selection you have against aa’s

  2. I approve of your dragon names….well played 🙂
