Code Review 02/16/2017 of Nicole

Nicole’s Project involved showing to other neighboring cells weather individual cells were growing or not. The idea is that the more the cells grow crowded in one area, the more cells in that area slow down the dividing process since there is going to be less space/ nutrition availability in the area where there is a crowding of cells. The emitting signal of the cells come out as clusters of particles that move out of each cell and hit neighboring cells as an indicator saying “hello, there are cells in the area”.

1 a.What was originally happening?

Movement of particles or signals coming out of the cells were only moving in a straight line in one direction. The original code had the cells not moving in any particular direction.

b. What was the visual? 

Cells were emitting the signals / particles in the same direction.

2. a. What more could happen?

The cells itself needed to rotate on the spot while giving off signal / particle so that the particle spreads around while being emitted. We were able to figure out that after cells were created, without forward movement of 1 added under forever, cells would stay on the spot. Rotating the cells on the spot was achieved by adding a movement bracket under forever [right by {random 360} degrees]. This made the cells turn right by any randomly from 0 – 359 degrees, causing the spot from which the cells spit out the particles also rotate.

b. What was the visual?

Signal / Particles are moving out of cell in different directions.
