Wikispaces is now 5 years old, and they’re making celebratory posts to their blog all week. Pay particular attention to this one, in which they list out some of their key collaborators and offer up some excellent examples of wiki use in academia. Read the full post for more details on each project, and the professors who implemented them.

  • The School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington gives students a place to keep their lab notebooks online at Genefish.
  • A Putnam City High School science class is writing its own Physics textbook in Wikispaces

 

The Garmin Oregon site is a great example of using Wikispaces as a knowledge base.
