Welcome Back!

September4

UMass Boston has come back to life with new and returning students. The buzz and activity on campus surely is difficult to ignore! It is an energy that my colleagues and I feed off of! The beginning of the fall semester at UMass Boston marks the promise of new beginnings, new opportunities, and a chance for us in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to forge relationships with new and prospective students.

For those of you who are new and returning students, I urge you to take a look at the Events Page on the UMass Boston website to check out what’s going on throughout campus during Welcome Week. I know you all will be busy getting to classes, but make sure you take the time to enjoy the fun stuff that’s happening too. There will be Red Sox tickets on sale, a soccer game, BBQs and a chance to meet and chat with Chancellor J. Keith Motley, to name a few.

The beginning of the fall semester also means we’ll be hitting the road recruiting at your community colleges. Be sure to keep an eye out on campus for when we are visiting and be sure to stop by and say hello!

If you would rather visit us, Open House is a great opportunity to do so. Registration for Open House 2012 is now available on the website.

Welcome back and we look forward to seeing you!

photo 2Transfer Articulation Officer. What does that mean? It means that if it has something to do with transfer admissions at UMass Boston, I have my hand in it; from recruitment to Transfer Credit Evaluations to transfer credit petitions and much more! So, there’s some information about what I do, here’s a little bit more about who I am:

  • I received my Bachelor of Arts in Classics from UMass Amherst in 2004
  • I recently received my Masters of Education in April 2011 from Northeastern University
  • I am a strong advocate for education, specifically public education which is why I love working at UMass Boston.

My favorite part of my job is working with and helping students. I am excited for this opportunity to reach out to more of you. Stay tuned!
