TAG Summer 2014
This summer the Talented and Gifted (TAG) Latino Program kicks off its 30th year of service to education. TAG is a youth program at Umass Boston that serves students from 7th to 12th grade with a major goal of increasing retention and graduation rates of Latino students in exam schools.
Last summer, Jennie and I had the pleasure of meeting the program’s students and staff who are more than excited to be back again this summer. TAG will continue to follow its renowned curriculum which includes rigorous classes, engaging field trips, and their yearly graduation ceremony. One staff member said: “[she] hopes the 30th graduation will be memorable and pleasurable for our students.”
Jennie and I are really looking forward to covering this wonderful program again, and we hope they have a summer of memories that is both fun and educational. It is our pleasure and honor to welcome them back this summer.
