CLEARING serves as the journal of environmental, place-based, natural resources education in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the western US and Canada.

Published since 1978, CLEARING is known around the world as a reliable source of inspiration, teaching ideas, classrooom activities, resources, and background information for bringing innovative teaching to all grade levels and subject areas.

Each issue contains: • Teaching ideas and strategies for the classroom or non-formal setting. • Perspectives on environmental and place-based education topics from top educators from around the world. • Resources available to all levels and subject areas.
