International Entrepreneurs – March 8th – Venture Development Center – 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
A panel consisting of a business entrepreneur and an immigration attorney will answer questions often posed by entrepreneurial international students. The focus of this panel discussion will be on OPT students who wish to continue working in the US and will transition from F-1 status to H-1B status. Topics addressed will be:
As an F-1 student can I start a business in the US?
Can I continue as business owner while on H-1B?
How will my employment opportunities change when I transition from F-1 to H-1B status?
Can I operate an online business?
Can I operate a business in my home country while in the U.S.?
What’s the difference between passive and active income?
