Graduate Assistant Position Division of Athletics, Recreation, Special Projects and Programs

General Summary of Position:

 

Graduate Assistant for Business Operations will be supervised by Associate Business Manager and Associate Business Manager IT & Licensing Contracts. The graduate assistant will provide first line support for both Associate Business Managers must demonstrate professional judgment in prioritizing tasks in areas of finance operations and IT end user support. Business operations tasks to include cash receipts, deposits, monitoring vault input and extractions; requisition & purchase order record keeping, assist in the distribution of meal money checks, support coaches in travel expense form completion.  IT support responsibilities to include first line student athlete support for study lab systems, first line trouble shoot for hardware and software problems and questions. Assist in financial data gathering for Golf Tournament donors, participants and for the Hall of Fame financial information. Assist in record management of all leasing of facilities; follow-up on invoicing and accounts receivables.

20hrs/week, start date January 23, 2012

Business/IT Duties:

Cash receipts, bursar submissions and accounting

Safe monitoring

Athletics office supplies inventory

P.O. Request spreadsheets

Athletics IT responsibilities

Assist in study hall lab impromptu IT support

First line response to IT queries

Provide support for R25 web based upgrades

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned BS; Graduate student in Business Administration or similar program
