TONIGHT: Info session on Winter break study abroad in India

Please join us this evening for an information session to learn more, beginning at 5pm in the Dean’s Conference Room, McCormack 5th floor, office 619.

The UMass Boston MBA Program, in collaboration with UC, is pleased to announce the following international program in India.

Focus on India: Global Industry & Competitive Analysis (MBAMGT 685)

About the Program

This course examines techniques of industry and competitive analysis and ways of applying these techniques to gain a better understanding of industry trends and company strategies in sectors of significant importance to the regional economy.

Prerequisites: MBAMGT 650

Program Format

The program, offered in collaboration with the Multinational Business Academy, located in Noida, India, will consist of two preparatory classes in Boston followed by about ten days of stay in India. Time spent in India will be divided among lectures, discussion, company visits, student presentations and cultural visits.

Participants register for one 3-credit course:  MBAMGT 685 Global Industry and Competitive Analysis

Program runs January 7 ? 17, 2012 (tentative) in India.

Application Deadline: November 10th Early application is strongly recommended. Applications received after the deadline will be considered if space is available.

Program Fee

The program tuition fee is $900, payable to UMass Boston upon registration into the program. Participants are responsible for an additional $1200 to be paid out of pocket in India to cover taxes, room, board, local transport for company and cultural visits in Delhi, a trip to Agra, the home of Taj Mahal and to the Pink City of Jaipur. A non-refundable deposit of $800 applicable towards the $1200 needs to be paid by November 1, 2011. The fee does not include insurance or transportation between the US and India.

Please Note: a valid passport and visa is required for travel to India.
