Digital content made available by University Archives and Special Collections at UMass Boston on our Open Archives sites is intended for personal research and educational purposes; commercial use or distribution of this content is not permitted without prior permission of the copyright holder.

The University of Massachusetts Boston holds copyright to select content made available in Open Archives. Copyright to other content may be held by authors or their heirs, or may be in the public domain.

Requests to reproduce, distribute, or publish content in Open Archives should be sent to University Archives and Special Collections at library.archives@umb.edu, unless otherwise noted.

Takedown Policy

Individuals who wish to contest the use of specific works in Open Archives should contact University Archives and Special Collections. If you are the copyright holder of a work in Open Archives and wish to have that work removed, please submit a request via email for that work to be taken down. Your notice should include proof of copyright ownership and clear identification of the work (preferably with URL).

Mass. Memories Road Show
For takedown requests related to images and stories contributed to the Mass. Memories Road Show collection, it is the policy of University Archives and Special Collections to consult with and/or notify the original image and story contributor as part of the takedown process.
